I have a strong background in academia. My undergraduate degree is from Virginia Commonwealth University, where I majored in Biomedical Engineering. I then attended Penn State, where I received a master's in Applied Statistics. Now, I am pursuing a second master's at Old Dominion University, and I am studying Systems Engineering.I have tutored students at the graduate, college, and high school levels in a variety of statistics and math courses. I have helped students with Algebra, Geometry, Trig, and Statistics. I have also tutored Differential Equations, Calculus, and master's-level Statistics. My test preparation tutoring covers math for the ACT, SAT, and for the GRE exams. I focus on these subjects as they best match my interests and depth of knowledge. Seeing people realize success in their studies is important to me.My tutoring approach is organized around three steps. First, I discover the areas of each subject that the student wants to learn. Second, I develop a draft schedule that addresses those areas. And finally, I work with the learner until he or she has mastered the content. When I am not tutoring or focused on academics, I enjoy chess, running, and playing with my sheepdog, Captain.
