-Graduated with Honors Degree from Bassett High School in 1993 -Graduated with Honors from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University(Virginia Tech) with an Architecture Degree in 1998 -Received multiple educational scholarships for college -Won a design competition my 2nd year of college -Was selected for an honors group starting my sophomore year of college. -Was awarded two travel scholarships to study in Europe my 4th year of college -Was selected out of my graduating class by professors as a student intern to work in Berlin, Germany for 6 months. -Have applied twice for a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Australia. Although not selected, I was advanced through 4 rounds of selection and was 1 of the last 3 applicants in the end.
Experience
Have taught several private schools over the years. Worked with several elementary - high school students through various out reach programs involving community design projects and architectural design projects. I placed out of all required math in college through AP exams I took in high school also, earned credits towards my college English requirements as well via AP exams in high school. I have studied in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland and have worked in Berlin, Germany. Although I do not think I am eligible to teach a foreign language, I know French, German & Italian. I would like to tutor to help others develop where they need help with, to help my own mind stay educated and to be able to work from home on a more flexible schedule. I have always enjoyed teaching and coaching. I would love to help your son or daughter.
